Best Practices for Use Cases

To configure Syslog, do the following:

1. Open the “Services Configuration” window.

2. Double-click the “Syslog settings” service.

     

3. Check the “Enabled” checkbox in the opened window.

   

4. In the opened window, set Syslog configurations:

   • enter true in the “Syslog Service Activated” field;

   • set relevant “Syslog Server Address” and “Syslog Server Port” values.

   • Click “Edit” button.

The Edit Syslog Settings window will appear.

Type some message into “Test Message” input and click “Test” button to send test message to syslog server and receive the response:

5. Click the “OK” button to save changes.
